Amenity Website = http://www.iomguide.com/manxtransportationmuseum.phpThis small but perfectly formed museum is located on the west of the island near harbour and Peel kipper factory – the museum is only 60 square metres in size – has a wealth of exhibits to discover.
You’ll find models, exhibits, photographs and unique artefacts which catalogue the varying, and sometimes obscure, modes of transport adopted on the Island over the decades.
There’s a model train and railway, memorabilia from the ferries, buses and motoring world and an electric TTXGP motorbike which finished third in the 2010 event.
The Manx Transport Heritage Museum is also home to the P50 – the smallest, road legal car in the world - which was manufactured in Peel in 1964, just 300 yards away from the museum.
Manx Transport Heritage Museum, Brickworks Office, Mill Road, Peel.
